Notice — Personal Information
“Personal Information” is personally identifiable information such as your name, phone number, and email address. The categories of Personal Information we collect depend on which form you choose to submit, and are described in detail below.
Visiting Our Website
You are free to browse our Website without providing Personal Information. We do, however, collect Personal Information when you choose to submit one of our forms — Contact Us, Become a Dealer, Become a Supplier, or a credit account application sent to you by one of our representatives.
What Personal Information Do We Collect?
When you voluntarily submit information through one of our forms, you are submitting Personal Information. What we collect depends on the form:
- Contact Us — first name, last name, email address, your NPW account number if you provide one, and the contents of your message.
- Become a Dealer — your name, job title, email address, phone number, and information about your business, including its name, owner and purchasing contacts, mailing and physical addresses, hours, website, years in operation, number of employees, sales and inventory figures, point-of-sale system, current suppliers, and any photographs of your business that you attach.
- Become a Supplier — your name, job title, email address, phone number, company name, website, address, and a description of the products you supply.
- Credit account applications — if a representative sends you an application link, we collect the business and financial information needed to open and underwrite an account. This includes your federal tax identification number and sales tax identification number, the names and titles of officers and owners, banking and accounting contacts, trade references, and copies of documents you upload such as a business license and resale certificate. Where you apply for an open account, we also collect the name and home address of each personal guarantor, an electronic signature, and a Social Security number or federal identification number used to verify identity and, with your authorization, to obtain a consumer or business credit report.
When submitting Personal Information through our submission forms, you expressly consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Other information we collect includes public information that is available on the internet or other information that we obtain from service providers, including credit reporting agencies and the trade references you supply.
We ask that you provide this information only through the forms on this Website or another channel our representatives direct you to. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or similar sensitive information to us by unencrypted email.
If you contact us via email, we will collect your name and email address as well as any other information in the Message body of the email in order to provide a prompt response.
How We Use Your Information
We use the Personal Information described above in order to:
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Evaluate and process dealer, supplier, and credit account applications, including verifying your business and, where you have authorized it, checking credit history and contacting the trade references you provide
- Establish, service, and administer your account, including billing and collections
- Comply with our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, and enforce our agreements
- Improve our products, services, and Website
Social Security numbers and federal identification numbers are used only to verify identity and assess creditworthiness in connection with an account application. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell them.
